    engine oil in intake mani.

    i just took off my TB and i noticed a lot of oil in my m50s intake. the TB even had oil in it. what would cause this? thanks.

    your pulling alot from the cam shaft filter (front of valve cover), 1 hose from that goes directly to the TB boot

      That's my vote. If you have that much I cannot see it being anything else. Doing a catch can setup or just not routing it into the intake at all (then it should go into the exhaust) are your only options.

      On another note though, I once had oil buildup nearer the ports of my manifold and on the backside of my intake valves cause by old valve seals.

          Small chances but I have seen that before and problem was in piston rings... Compression in the oil pan lifts up too much oil bla bla... But it was GTI not bimmer:-)
