Anybody successfully retrofitted a E36 3 channel ABS?

Looking for some help if you have. I posted some questions on bimmerforums in the track section.

I completely removed it when I built the car and I have regretted the decision. The E30 system is not all that great- it is primitive system.

        discuss...

so e30 is what 2 channel one for front and one for rear while e36 is one channel for each front side and one for rear?

I have never had an e30 with working ABS, but I have to say my e36 3-channel setup is FANTASTIC under basically all circumstances.*

*It's in an e36 so I can't really help with the question.

I Much prefer the E30 M3 ABS in that car to the E36 M3 ABS which kicks in way too early on the track, and kicks in on the slightest bump on the street at almost walking pace.
On the E30 you have to be deep into the pedal to activate it, and with Rcomps on the track it allows some threshold braking without making the pedal go to mush.

E30 ABS system is amazing when it works properly. I am 5-lug swapped and 25mm master cylinder installed and my car stops better than any e36 on the same brakes.

This doesn't make much sense because it wouldn't kick in until it senses a wheel locking up??

The E36 ABS has a much more sensitive threshold than the E30, despite the fact that the car is 500Lb heavier.

You are aware that the manufacturer CAN tune the ABS system sensitivity?
They can program the ABS and Or traction control.
I believe that the ABS computers are different between the E30 M3 and the other E30 chassis.
They can also change the number of teeth on the ABS rings at the wheel hubs.

Another car that has very late ABS intervention is the Lotus Exige/ELise.

Rcomps have more traction than street tyres... So more force at the pedal before they lock.
The E30 ABS computer is not confused by threshold braking, which your control of the brakes up to where incipient lock is imminent.

                      Example;
On the street. if I happen to be approaching a stop sign in the E36(ASC/T +ABS) and there is an irregularity in the pavement a car length or so before full stop, the ABS will activate for a couple of pulses, but I'm driving like a granny.
Same scenario in the E30(ABS) and there is no drama, No ABS on inferior tyres.

I updated my post on bimmerforums. I got it working today. Short version is it is pretty much plug and play (with splicing in the E30 sensors).
