    338 ecu?

Read through a lot of this section and recently I've made up my mind. I found an engine that I'd like to use.

It's out of an 95 e34 525i. My biggest concern is it's ECU being 338. I haven't seen that in any of the threads and wanted to know more about it.

Let me know if it's even possible for me to swap this in. Thank you,

that's exactly my concern. Charlie was with me, and he's done his swap, and we were both confused. It was indeed "338"

yeah I was deff thrown off when we saw the DME. It wasn't a rebuild and it deff was 338. The car had traction control but I still haven't heard of a 338?

It could be a factory replacement DME, maybe it's got a 338 as part of it's part number but it's not a "338"... I've seen something like that with E34 m30b35 car. DME was silver etc and didn't have a usual RED 179 sticker on it, but it was in fact a 179 replacement dme.
