    shifter linkage (DSSR)?

I presently have a UUC short shift and a modified DSSR. My tranny is a ZF.

THe ZF is doing strange noise and I have a getrag 260. I will switch from the ZF to the getrag 260. Will the DSSR fit on the getrag 260?

I assume the short shift will fit.

    thanks!

i say fix the strange noise... might be as simple as filling up the fluid.... would probably be a lot simpler then replaceing the tranny, which also entails new driveshaft, and new custom tranmission mount, along with modifying the shifter to center it...

I bought an 91 325i with a blown engine... So I have the driveshaft. For the tranny support, I know that. From what I calculated, I think I would prefer a getrag 260 with my 3,73.

For the shifter, that's what I'm trying to figure out. Will the DSSR end that goes on the tranny has the same connection for zf tranny than for a getrag 260?

The oil level is good in the tranny... my mechanic told me that it was the input shaft bearing that was doing that. The tranny feel really loose, Like if there was a lot of backlash in it. the drive shaft, the diff, the axles and the suspension components are all good...

i am not familiar with the DSSR shifter. But for any kind of shifter because of the angle at which the getrag sits when mounted to a M/S5x you have to bend the selector rod approx 12*. My old getrag was plate style, so i cant compare them in terms of mounting the shifter to the transmission.
