    wiring help! on s52

    1. I think it's a ground it was in the bunch that was attached to the ECU plug.

    2. brown and orange, what does it connect to?

    3. black, is that a ground and if yes does it matter if i connect it to the motor or the chassis?

    4. red, is that a positive and should i connect that to the battery terminal(that is connected the + on the battery from the back) on the firewall.

well, first off, I will start by saying you shouldn't attempt a swap without having an etm to reference. It's like driving across country for the first time with no road map. Not smart. The reds are positives or hots. Most go to the battery junction block. Browns are grounds. They go to the ground terminal on the pax side shock tower. The black has heat shrink tubing that will need to be pulled back so you can see the wiring color beneath. It would help if you stated if your swap was obd2 or 1. If it is 2, one of the wires goes to secondary air pump.

Thanks Flyboyx. I have the wiring diagram, but I'm not really an electrician and I have trouble understanding it. Plus the diagram dont seem to sow the wire colors. The info you gave me sounds pretty good and straight forward, but what about that brown and orange wire?
