    Euro s50 swap questions

    sorry if this has been covered before. i have found some info on the subject, but want to be sure before i start on my project. i found a good deal on a euro spec m3 s50 engine from a 94. basically i want to know what additional mods are required compared to the us s50. im pretty sure the e21 or 325ix brake boosters dont work and you need many of the same parts such as the m50 e34 oil pan and pump, engine harness etc.

      geo metro brake booster,bend headers so it doesnt touch subframe, thr eyeballs, akg motor mounts, trans mounts, wire harness adapter and alot more... Good thing is that you dont have ews in the s50b30.

        The main differences between the Euro and US swap are the brake booster clearance and header clearance. You can run boosterless, Geo Metro booster, or a remote booster from a 5/7 series. There is a large thread here about the booster options. Just search

          e23 hydroboost. complicated, but will give you good braking power

            is it the booster that gets in the way or the master? I can get the hydroboost from a 750iL.

            Erick, do you have a picture underneath the car showing how far back the headers go? I want to see if i can run an E30 M3 exhaust with just a small custom section between the S50 header and where the S14 cat would start.
