    OBD-II exhaust manifold material?

    What is the material? can I weld on it?

    I believe its stainless steel, seems like it wouldnt be a problem to weld

      Yes you can weld it. Hence welding up the air ports.

        Yes, mine has been cut and welded to clear the subframe.

          they are stainless. I believe they are either inconel monel or a combinatio of the 2. They can be welded. 304 filler rod should be ok. I wouldn't use any other process other than a tig.

            So attempting to MIG on these would end horribly?

            As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
            You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

              have you ever tried to mig thin wall stainless steel? If you only plan to weld up the emmissions ports on the flange, I think it would be fine. I am not a master welder, but I am very good at it. I would never attempt the tubes with a mig.

                the guy who welded my obd2 exhaust manifolds said if you can stick a magnet to stainless steel, then it can be mig welded, if not then use a tig. you can stick a magnet to obd2 manifolds...

                not sure if there is any truth to this but he used a mig to weld up them up, they turned out fine.
