Interest in a GB for a 2 piece fiberglass airbox/intake kit

Well looks like I already have 3 people interested, so we'll see what we can work out.

I will get the disassembled pic up by this weekend! They sound pretty crazy with a mild exhaust set-up, I'll get a soundclip up of one of the swap cars with this box this weekend!

It's definitely a nice piece, but $200 just for the box is a bit steep. Remember, we're all broke/stingy fuckers around here. I take it an ABS delete is unnecessary?

Well it's just a feeler price. If we get enough people interested, then the price will obviously go down.

We have the part # for the K&N filter required to fit this kit. No ABS removal necessary.

Well, believe it or not I am interested in this. I am still a bit weary of spending $250 on an intake box though. Intake sound clips/diagrams/more pictures would help. :p

Nice looking piece, but would it be compatible with the Bimmerworld, Samco, etc. Intake boot? What about interference with the reservoir if using an M42 Radiator?

I'd be interested if they fit with the BW Intake boot and M42 radiator.

Chris will be making a mock-up for those using the m42 radiator, which would not have the provision for the factory coolant reservoir.

There will also be a box made with a larger whole to accomodate for a 3.5" MAF. For a 3.5" airbox kit, we would use a larger filter of course.

For those using the Samco/Bimmerworld 3"-3.5" intake boot, we will be making a set-up soon.

Talking to Chris, maybe we can get the airbox price down to $175 for starters, and $225 for the intake kit.

I think we could get the airbox down to $150 if we get atleast 10 people. :D

edit: this is starting to get a little more reasonable. If you get a better price for the M42 radiator version I am probably down for one. Still waiting on expanded pics--is there a section of tubing upstream of the MAF to help with uniform airflow?
