    Another Idle problem

    Okay,

First off I searched. My car like many has an idle problem. I've had the car on the road for about a year and I haven't had any problems as of now. When coming to a stop my car fluctuates between 500-1200 RPM's. from what I read many people believe it's the MAF, but I haven't read anything to confirm this. With so many cars having similar problems is there a concise and known remedy with this problem?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

Pull the ICV, clean it with brake cleaner, shake out as much of the cleaner as you can, then spray some Teflon based lube into the unit before the brake cleaner dries up.
Cleaning the ICV does not work if the coils on the motor are crispy.

If your idle remains bad, you may need a new ICV.

update. So I tried cleaning out the ICV and didn't make that much of a difference. Today while driving in four gear the engine starts to die out and lag. I had to coast in neutral and keep pumping the accelerator to keep it alive. Turn off the car, start it again and proceed to drive off as if nothing happened.

        Any idea's?
