Thanks Wh33lhop for being thorough. So no go on using my left over OBD2 O2 sensors?

On the starter, the two huge wires you were referring to is the 1 that connects the starter to the alternator and the other is the positive lead from the harness?

Your saying too that you think the two wires dangling in Pic 2 in my original post are connected to the starter as well?

Yep, those wires will go on the posts on the smaller posts on the starter

There's a good chance they do; I can't think of anywhere else they'd go if your alternator is already hooked up.

As for the O2 sensor... well I just placed an order for a Bosch one for $73 out the door. I don't know whether the OBD2 ones will fit, you may need to search. If the sensor is the same and it's only a matter of the connector, though, well you can find a harness-side OBD2 connector probably just as easy as an OBD1 version.

And also some search yielded that the the positive wire coming from the battery that splits off into two lines, one starter, and the other goes to the e36 fuse box.. which in this case isn't used, so this wire is redundant. What's everyone doing with this wire? Clipping it back and taping it off?
          Same question.

edit: Nvm, removing the positive cables tomorrow.
