    ATTN: Clean Engine Bay Guys!

Could someone help me out and circle the brackets I DONT need in the swap so I can cut them out and clean up my engine bay a little before I paint it

Some stuff kind of depends... when you put the right engine in the wrong car there are is a lot of re-arranging. For instance, because of the intake you are pretty much obligated to move the power steering reservoir. I'd hop on the "24 valve engine bay pics" thread and see what other people are doing.

Yeah those are old pics, the booster and all that stuff are out right now. I skimmed through that thread and most people seemed to just leave brackets.

I am in the middle of a swap my self. You can lose brackets but you will probably end up having to fab or buy brackets to hold items such as the power steering reservoir. I mounted mine to the bracket that holds the OE airbox using a spacer and the stock PS res bracket. Depending on which radiator and expansion tank you are going to use you can cut or keep the respective brackets. If you are running the 318 radiator you can eliminate the brackets for the coolant res. Good luck.

power steering res. I would mount on the drivers side engine arm like the e36 has it. Stock airbox mounts aren't needed. Coil mounting stud isn't needed.

it depends on what you're willing to give up... washer res, abs, etc...

              maybe this will help -

it depends, early models you can shave the coolant res mounting posts off the passenger side strut. you can shave the AFM mounting contraption on the driver side fender arch, and i used the relay mounting post to mount my remote resivoir for the brake booster(ix booster), but if you are using a setup that does not require that mounting then you can shave that too.... i also shaved all the insulation off the firewall and the blower motor access hatch.

That is an amazing engine bay. How do you keep all of the vacuum lines and wires etc out of sight?
