    ebay headers

What do you reckon of these? Worth it?

    1.75"inlet 2"outlet

They sound pretty good, CAD design, CNC machined, Ceramic coated, Tig welded. All for $65, plus shipping.

    2"inlet 2"outlet

CAD design, CNC machined, Stainless steel, Tig welded. All for $95, plus shipping.

They must be shit, or a scam for that price.

I would say awful for the price.

RHD fitment into an E30 is extremely unlikely.

The set I bought for my S52 cost me $85 plus $35 for shipping. So total was $120 to my door. I didn't expect much, but they did exceed my expectations. I had to remove the heat shield from the engine mount arm and dremel the arm a couple mm for clearance. Other than that the fitment was very good. Surprising for the cost.

I ordered a set pretty much identical to those for 90 shipped. Got them a couple days ago. I have yet to put them on but so far they look great and the welds and material seem decent enough (I was a welder for a couple years so I know a decent weld)

I'm interested in these but i have yet to see a set intallled on an E30.

They look like the TMS 'shorty' m/s5x swap headers made specifically for 24v engines in e30s. Maybe some one who has experience with them can chime in.

I'd be nice if they told you the size of the pipe.
I wonder if they would fit a right hand drive?

                RHD 24v header group buy?

I know someone who is getting headers made soon - could see if he can get a jig made up?

                  I'd be interested.
                  how much?
would they be "shorty" style headers?
                  size?
                  equal length?
                  ceramic coated?
And how much clearance around the steering column?

I've asked the questions and am waiting to hear back.

I believe they were to be equal length, and would probably suggest coating is something that can be done by purchasers after they take delivery.

I really doubt they will work in a RHD. Here is a picture of the Turner shortys installed:

Those ebay ones look exactly like these to me. They output flange is meant to be the same size as stock e36.

Have you got pics of around the steering knuckle? I think the flange will get in the way of the steering knuckle. Do you know the size of the pipes of the shorty headers

The pics are of a LHD car (not mine), and sorry, i have no idea what size the pipes are :(.

go to www.turnermotorsport.com and send them an email with your questions about their headers.

Here is a pic of that style header installed in my E30, left hand drive car.
Yes, shorty style, yes equal length.
Fit our M50 and should fit S50 since it's the same head as M50.

Someone asked if they clear the control arm mount, yes as they are shorties and you're going to do custom from the flange back.

I emailed turner motorsports about the s50 shorty headers and this is what they wrote back.

"these have never been test fitted on a RHD car, and never with a Euro S50, these only fit the US S50, which is completely different."
