    auto tranny LSD

    getting ready to do another swap AND 5sp conversion.I bought a clean 88 325is with the dreaded autotragic,BUT it has an LSD,but which one 4.10 /3.73 /etc cant find the markings and I cleaned the hell out of it.......anyone know?!!

          you all assume the PO didnt change diffs. most likely its a 4.10 sure. Best way to test with no markings. lift rear, neutral, ebrak off, spin driveshaft and see how many turns it takes for the tire to spin once completely. 4.10 revolutions, 3.73 revolutions? you get the idea.

              I have seen two auto 1988is's with 3.73 rear ends. I thought they all were 3.73 in 88 and in 89 the autos got 4.10
