They sound like death on wheels to me...

If my leafblower could kick the crap out of most cars, I'd have a leafblower powered e30 :P

I think that you misunderstood my comment the exhaust sounds like an angry leafblower, but a low restristed/ open turbo spinning at 50,000 rpm sounds sweet. I guess that you woudnt really have to worry about exhaust only the guy behind you :D

24's are only needed on larger displacement motors with more aggressive than stock (M3) cams.
What injectors would you put in an M52 w/ S52 cams and M50 intake manifold?

I'd probably leave the 21.5# injectors that come in the M52, they'll be more than enough for that application.

I think the "leaf blower" sound is badass. It just sounds like there's so much air going through, and what a fantastic concept that is.

I hope I'm not going OT or destroying a thread, but what is the most power an S52 can make at the crank?

Also, I'd like to thank Jordan for un-banning me (I shared an IP w/a banned person). It's good to be back. :D

                NA or FI?

I don't think anyone can accurately answer that question. Stock displacement "street" NA S52s have made over 260whp, turbo'ed- over 800whp and most likely over 1000whp soon.

Go to www.bimmerforums.com for more S50/2 info.

                  Good point.

Is it possible to have a turboed S52 with over 600hp at the crank, and it still have the durability to be a daily driver?

Now we're talking. I'd probably settle for 700hp at the crank though. ;)

You'd probably have to add a layer of lead in the trunk to be able to drive a 700hp E30 though.

just do a quick search on cometic head gaskets. You'll have to figure out what thickness you need and search for that, but here is the first link i clicked on:

Oops, I slightly mis-read your post to mean there are thick m20 head gaskets for $150. I had talked to Cometic before, and they don't sell an m20 head gasket. They plan to in the future but don't have one now.
