    Quick DME Question: E34 403DME in E30??

Sorry, I know this is probably answered all over the place, but I'm at work and don't have time to search / need a quick answer.

Are you able to use the 403 DME from a 92 E34 for the swap if that's where I'm getting the motor from?

From what I'm reading on e30dohc.com I need a 413 or 506..? Why is the 403 DME not listed as applicable for the E30 swap?

    Thanks

403 (among others) is non vanos DME...413 is for vanos.

          OK, thanks.
Someone should update the e30dohc.com info to clarify this.

whatever DME was with the engine will work in the swap, the DME doesnt care what chassis it was in.

sorry, i must clairify for future, i was refering to non-vanos engines.. newer engines that have EWS are different and the silver label DME requires a chip to bypass the ews
