 So much hate

The way it worked out is that a friend of mine is doing a swap and only picked up a z3 for the motor / tranny.

I traded him my OBD1 Setup (Complete with almost new sensors), oil pan, booster, and all the other goodies required for the e30 swap.

He gave me a Z3, an OBD2 Z3 harness, Sensors, and some other goodies.

The rear subframe needs some welding. But that is well within my skill level of fabricating. So I ended up with this "free" Z3.

We all know, nothing in life is free. Even free puppies.

So I am paving the way on converting an S50 to run OBD2 and making another fun car.

I still have to do the big chart of plus and minus to see how it works out but we both get what we need in the end.Past Car : E30 S50 6 Speed 5 Lug 3.73
Current : Z3 S50 OBD2 (Smog Legal) 6 Speed BBS RN Dual Ear Diff

The Z3 is a 98. So I have to meet OBD2 emission standards (O2 Pump, OBD2 Headers, ECU)

I have my S50 which is in perfect leak free condition. I would hate to have to go find another motor because of some small emissions stuff.

I am going to run a hall sensor on the OBD1 wheel (Hoveringuy [HG] uses a VR sensor on the OBD2 wheel) Both are 60-2, one is large, one is small. HG is running OBD1 on his OBD2 wheel, I am going for the reverse compatible.

I am using this adapter on the intake. I am keeping all emissions equipment.

I actually have found some other conditioner boards also that I really like for the application. If I have to run a VR to HALL I will check out both of those suggestions. But for now I am going to try and use the M54 Hall sensor (Which is the current cranksensor) with a spacer.Past Car : E30 S50 6 Speed 5 Lug 3.73
