    Wiring question

I'm trying to figure out how to identify something like 10 connectors on my m50 harness - Since I didn't strip it off in the first place and I don't have an e36 to use as a reference, I'm having a little trouble. I have the e36 bentley pdf - but its 750 + pages, I've searched thoroughly, but have only been able to find a few black and white diagrams that provide little help. I also have the e36 electrical diagrams for trouble shooting - but even with those I can't seem to find what I'm looking for. Since I don't have anything to go off of, I think I should be able to make small cuts in the insulation of the connectors in question and ID them based upon wire colors - but I can't seem to find a diagram that provides the wire color combinations for each connection... any help?

edit: car 1991 318i. motor nv m50 from a 93 325 (I dont know if it was auto or manual)

Sorry for bad English but what do you have now? Is the plug on the M50 engine side still attached to the engine? Do you still have the plug on the E30 body side?

It's ok - I appreciate the attempt at help either way :) - I had the adapter made already by a member on here. And with that comment I'm wondering if I look like a jackass now - Should I just start at the main harness plug and trace through the whole harness pin by pin?

Well you have no vanos, or knock sensors.

Most of the sensors are pretty easy to figure out.

The IAC is a 3 pin
        Crank is a 3 pin
Cam is a 3 pin (Backwards from the Crank)
IAT is a 2 pin with a long tail
The oil pressure is a single wire
The ECU CT is a two pin
The Cluster CT is a two pin (next to the ECU CT)
There is only one oxygen sensor on the harness and it goes with the reverse light switch (ignore the RL)
MAF and charcoal are on there own pigtail.

Current : Z3 S50 OBD2 (Smog Legal) 6 Speed BBS RN Dual Ear Diff

          No Homework FTL.
You have done little to no research.
          1,Do a search for ETM.
2, select the ETM for the donor of the harness.
3, Also select the ETM for you car.
4, Then peel back the boot of each plug and write down the wire colours.
5,Do the same at the X20 plug on the donor harness and the c101 plug on your car.

6,Compare the wiring colours on the harness with the various sensors/senders in the ETM.

          7,Write the sh8t down.
8, Then lay out the engine harness on the ground, allowing the various bends to lay how they want to, to give you an idea as to how it was routed.

7pilot - I've done the research, just didn't understand it well enough.
