    Help---Cooling issues.

So about 3 weeks ago I finally got the cooling system bled-pain in the ass! Then I blew a heater hose-replaced it, bled it and all seemed fine. Then the other day-first 80 degree day of the year my VDO guage got up to 225 degrees, I pulled over and let it cool down. The next day I installed a 14 inch fan and removed the thermostat. I have flushed the system using a powerflush machine, I cant see how any air could be in the system. I drove about 2 miles and the car was at 225 with the fan on, pulled over, and now have it back home. Here is my setup:
    M50
    M42 radiator
    all new hoses
    new water pump

My water pump spins clockwise is this correct?
The only thing I can think is the head gasket is bad-no water in my oil.

    Thanks

Point of clarification: you're at 225 with no thermostat installed?

Yes. It acted the same with the thermo. I have it jacked up right now with the blessed open. I'll spend some more time tomorrow. I can't see how I can have a pocket in there but ya never know.

Triple check for pockets of air. What's your method for bleeding the system? For my M50 w/ M42 radiator, I did the following:

1.Warm up car as is. Turn heat on full blast.
          2.Open cap and bleeder
3.Wait for a constant flow of coolant out the bleeder, no bubbles or fizz
4.Top off coolant to correct level
          5.close bleeder and cap

My M50 runs slightly over 1/4 bar on the highway in 90* heat and sloppy humidity. Fan is on full, and 2 bottles of Redline Water Wetter were added to a roughly 70% H20, 30% coolant mix.

Turned out my radiator was plugged. Got a new one, bled the system and all is good! Thanks for all your help! I am so relieved.
