    A few Q's

I am doing a M50 swap and I have read about a few things that I would like confirmed.

    I am using a m50tub25 and matching it with a Getrag 260

So do I have to shave my flywheel? if so how much

I also have the 5spd that came with the m50, can I use the 260 pressure plate and flywheel with the e36 clutch? I am asking because the 260 clutch is toast and the e36 one is mint. Or use the complete e36 fly, clutch and pressure plate?

I planning on a turbo so what would be a good clutch setup and would a alum flywheel be a good idea? I don't know what the 260 will handle or what to buy. So any info would be AWESOME

get your flywheel machined on the backside. it doesn't take much, but it has to be machined.

as for your e36 clutch combo, its a dual mass flywheel, so you would want to use the e30 stuff,as they have a 9lb single flywheel...but you COULD use the e36 stuff, but i bet you'd regret it when you have single mass readily availible.

and search, half of this shit was in "my thread."

Thank you for the response, could you post a link of your thread? Do you know how much to shave? I saw a post that said 1/8

I have done TONS of research, that was the only questions I was unsure of. thanks for the reply

dude thats prob too much if your going to run a heavy spring rate on your PP my m20 flywheel was lightened up on the back side as well and the machine shop only took off about 1/8 maybe a 1/4 inch off the back an they wouldnt do more cuz it might weaken it too much, i think flush may cause longevity problems for you

yeah but i see a uuc flywheel and m5 clutch in my future so it's nothing big. it's not a DD either so it won't see too road much time.

That is what I have read from two posts, 1/8 is the correct amount to remove.
