    S52 + g240 = ??

Ok, I know,I know....but I have a lead on a good S52 for little money, and was wondering how a G240 might hold up to the S52 power/torque. I searched and couldnt find anyone with this combo, all though there is one guy with a D mod racer putting out 300hp and is running a g240,and said so far so good.

I want to remove the m50nv and install the S52 obd1 and be done with it.

    thoughts,bitches,complaints??

itll trash it after a while, dont expect to be snapping gears like your a drag racer everywhere, a local guy trashed a g240 with a nvm50 in a couple of hours, so dont be a idiot and youll be fine

well he'll now I'm exited about the s52 I have everthing fo the obd1 swap and clutch and a nice low mileage 3.73 LSD that was in my automatic e30. Should make for an interesting combination

It has a different length from a 260 throw-out bearing that works with the 240 box. I had them side by side and iirc the 323i T/O is slightly longer.. even though I would think it would be shorter to work with the smaller/shorter 240 box..

I'd like to know if this box would hold up as well. I like that you can run the 240 and have a Getrag (much better feel than the ZF, in my opinion) and the trans isn't rotated. I'd like to try that with my next M/S50/2 conversion. I always liked that box in my 318is.

I've beat the absolute shit out of mine and nothing yet. It will be fine for track, it's just the drivetrain shock of launches that will kill you if anything.

oh that will be the same as my one then. mine is a euro 320i one. The M20B20 came with a g240 bolted to it from the factory so must be the same thing
