Maximum bore size for alloy M52 block?

Whats the max I can bore out my M52 alloy block (stock 84mm)?

Are there any significant differences between the M52 and US S52 blocks?

I already have a stroked 3.0L on an M52 block and was looking into the feasibility of bringing up the capacity to 3.2L via a bigger bore.

Any significant differences between M52 and S52 blocks?

You can't bore those alloy blocks much at all without going right through the sleeve and into the water jacket. You would need some not-worth-it custom work to get an 86/87mm bore in an alloy m52.

I assume you mean differences between iron m52 and s52 blocks? If so, then there are no significant differences.

What's your setup now? I'm curious.

          OK thanks for that info.

I originally had a stock M50 B25 but have now stroked it to a 3.0L on an alloy block M52 using M54 rotating parts (same crank as S52) with 84x89.6 bore/stroke using OBD 1 413 ECU with TMS S50 chip.

Have you dyno'd it? I'm interested to see how it performs with the lower compression ratio NA.

No I haven't dyno'd it yet. The M54 has the same 10.5 CR (IIRC) as the S50. As I also have the S50 cams I reckon it should make similar power to the S50 at about 240 bhp at the crank. I'd be pretty disappointed if it didn't come close LOL!
