    Using an Obd2 - Obd1 Valve Cover

Ok, so on an obd2 Valve cover i know you have those metal trays that in lack of better words, "ground" the coils to themselves. would someone be able to post a pic or describe how the coils and grounding straps work on an obd1 valve cover. I took apart the OBD1 stuff ages ago and forget now... cant seem to find it online.

    Thanks!

there are ground straps that go from the coils to the valve cover. here's some pictures from pelicanparts that should clear things up for you:

(it appears the straps/mounting nuts have been removed in the first picture)

So what exactly is the purpose of these if they only go off of two coils? I know golde30 said he isn't even using them and his motor runs fine wtf?

it's just extra ground. the coils are already grounded anyway.
