    Coolant Temp Sensor

SO! i remove the black sensor, and replace it with the Blue temp sensor for the ecu.

The TB heater outlet can then be removed and i can put the cluster temp sensor in correct? (or essentially just use a bit of hose and hose clamp it for the time being.) This i can use the brown top single pole sensor for correct?

    Yes.

Or tap it, or rethread the sensor, or use the zionsville adapter

        Re:

I almost understand what needs to be done on these sensors,
but still a little in the dark, could you please post another pic and tell in a little more detail what is going where? I know that the E30 temp sensor needs to go in there. Will be doing all this on my M50 swap in another week.
Would really help me out. Thanks. :)

In the pic above, the right sensor that is black wll be replaced with this:
          http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/...story=catalog#
          Thats for the Ecm

To the right, you see that coolant outlet? that is where you put the temp sensor for the e30 cluster. You can do that using the zionsville adapter so you still have throttle body warming. im deleting that though so until i rethread my senso im just going to cut a boung an 3 inches of hose, and plug the hose using the cluster temp sender.

That link to the part brought up an empty cart instead of the sensor.
I see what you are saying though now on deleting the TB heater and such.

What do you guys recommend doing with the TB heater hose from the spider hose? Just plugging it? Then cut a few inches of hose and connect the two outlets on the TB just to keep it clean? Anything else needed to be done?

I happen to live in 70/80 degree weather, so I deleted the heater fitting and replaced it with the sensor. Never been to Phili, I heard its cold.

You have to either drill out and retap the throttle heater port, or grind down and retap the thread to m12x1.5, like I did:

You shouldn't use a length of hose and a hose clamp because these sensors require coolant flow to work properly and coolant wont flow if it's setup like that.

Is this the adapter I need? Man, that Zionsville stuff is expensive,
but they are like an hour from me so pretty convenient...
What coolant sensor do I need to go in it?
                      Thx.

Or go to Napa and buy die Part # 55851 and do it your self for about 5 bucks.

                            Cool thanks,
I will check out that part at Napa.
Does it need to be threaded?
Really need to get a metric tap and die set soonly...

IS this the brown top single connector coolant sensor for the 325eta?
                              Thx.
