New Toys for the S50

Well I was having an idle problem after I finished swapping in my S50, and I suspected it to be because of the LTW fly. So I decided to order a chip to see if that would fix it. Since I was ordering a chip I my as well get the euro hfm, and 24 lb injectors :twisted:






The result, WOW the car is so different. This really woke the engine up, it also fixed my idle problem, and only took my slow ass 2 hours to complete. Partly because I had to change out my hfm plug from obd II to obd I which was a pain in the ass.

what is the point to going to the larger HFM if you use a reducer to the TB? It's a nice piece but I can't imagine how much they are new.

Well the reducer is the only way to use it. I know it is going to restrict it more so than if it was the same size, but it works.

Any know gains from just the HFM? The engine will run without it. I haven't done my cam swap yet into my car but I know that the HFM's get dirty from K&N's so be careful on howmuch oil is on the filter.

The hfm and chip are suppose to get you around 20 rwhp. Accourding to AA's web site. Thanks for the tip on the K&N and the hfm, I will keep that in mind.

Don't ask me how I know. Also you can clean it with isoproplene alcohol.

Off Topic - But did you ever figure out if you are going to be driving through Columbus, with your friend? Or stopping at WPAFB?
