harness question..

hello all. im running a NV M50-B25 in a 88 cabrio.
current harness is a e36 harness that came with the engine. after it was cut up to remove the auto trans yuck by accident the o2 sensor plug was hacked out as well. because of this it runs rich as all hell so id like to replace it.

at my local pull a part there is a 93 525 with a vanos M50 in it. while id like to take the whole motor and all i dont have anywhere to put it. so i just want the harness. my question is. will a VANOS harness work on a NV motor? would it have the EWS? and will it work with the e36 ECU i have now?

ive tried to search around but havent really found anything.. any help is much appreciated.

I would check an ETM and compare the pinouts for the ECU connector on the NV and Vanos harnesses. If they are they same, minus the vanos connector, i'd probably roll with it and just removed the vanos connector.

Thats all i've got to add, no experience with mixng harnesses.

hmm. on a side not i do know id have to switch MAFs (vanos is 6 pins. NV has 4)
