s52 sitting for a while...

Hey all,

Just bought an s52 from another forum member (thanks Sal!) that has been sitting for a while (about 2 years). Any advice on what should I check / replace? there is some surface rust on the back of the block, can i just use like steel wool or sandpaper to get it off? The intake manifold is also a bit discolored -- anything i can do to fix this?

the best way to clean the block up is to sand it down, degrease it, and paint it with engine paint. you can just sand off the rust, but it will only come back when it gets moisture on it again.
