how to connect e36 mishimoto to s52 with e30 coolant reservoir?

i picked up a coolant reservoir from a 325 e30 and got the mishimoto aluminum radiator.

the reservoir has 2 small hose and one big one.

the radiator has the two main hose, which are obvious, but then the 3 smaller nipples(one on each side bottom and one on the top driver side), which hose go where?

on the engine i got the two main hose from the flange, and one on the bottom driver side.

    please help

    OK,
    E30 Res:
Large hose on bottom to coolant pipe on engine
Larger nipple on cap to little nipple on top of radiator (above main hose)
Little Nipple on cap is a vent or drain overrflow (just route it under car somewhere just incase you are overfiller it will vent out rather than blow the system

Mishimoto rad: top hose to drivers side thermo cover, bottom to pass thermo cover (duh) Hope that helps.

it all make sense, DUHHH i thought the two nipples on each side bottom where nipple for hoses too. after reading your explanation i realize you didnt mention them, so i just realize they are mounting legs! :nice:

Has anybody had any problems with the spider hose reaching the reservoir in the stock E30 location? I had mine hooked up to an M42 radiator for a long time, now that I'm using the separate E30 res it seems like it's a stretch to get it in the stock location. Might work if I delete the charcoal canister or something.

Im using a OBD2 hardpipe, but if the spider doesnt reach a barbed coupler with a little more hose should suffice

Thanks, I'll probably wind up doing that.

i'm having a few other issues, with my reservoir, i picked it up from the junk yard and the hose that is suppose to go to the radiator is broken off, so i need to find a solution for that. and also i'm missing the small cap where the cap/sensor goes. so far i've tried ace hardware, napa, and advance autoparts with no luck. other than that thankz everyone!

you will need to get the sensor and hoses from a dealer. you want the hoses from the E36, and the coolant sensor from E30...

Dont really care for the sensor, i just want a cap and i had to be creative today and use a 16oz coke bottle cap for short drives. that's only until i find a brass cap or something.

that radiator works wonders, i can actually see the gauge drop, i still get spikes and it goes all the way to 3/4 but drops back down to half. i'm kinda worried when scorching hot florida summer hits.
