I've read thru tons of threads for this subject and get a bunch of different opinions which is a good and bad thing. I am planning on tracking this car and what I've read,
For the motor mounts - the green E28 mounts can rip, the IE Poly mounts can melt.... The AKG Rubber mounts are great.
For the trans mounts - The E21 mounts are beefier than the E30. And people like the UUC poly mounts, and some say the IE mounts sag and rip.
Here's my question, if I decide to go to say an AKG solid Alum. mount, which trans mount would be good for that? If I use any type of Poly / rubber mount, my guess is that all the load is going to those.. Is there a solid trans mount out there? Also, if I go all solid, is there another area of concern for all the load?
