I have a 24v head off a 94 325i Vanos motor. The casting number is 1738 070. But a few of the coolant jackets around the combustion chambers are missing on the 070 head. Is this head worth anything? If not I'll just take the valves and keep them as spares.

i have the same head... i dont think it's worth any more or less than the heads with all the water jackets. do you have any info on which years/etc have more/less water jackets? -
The info i found says the 070 head can be used in place of the 400 head. The 400 with more water jackets seems like a better head.
It is a single vanos cylinder head. The casting number is 1738070. This cylinder head is interchangeable with the 400 cylinder heads (1738400).
