    Misc e30 s50 wiring questions

Hello all, just a few questions:

1.) Where does this black wire go? Comes back off the alternator.

2.) The wire I have here in my hand is black and comes from the firewall, where does it connect, and also, there is a shorter red wire in this picture that comes from the wiring harness, on the passenger side. Where do these connect?

3.) I am stumped by this one. The wire in my hand when peeled back is Red/White, Yellow, and Brown/Orange, which means it is the cam sensor, but when I go to plug the engine side wire of the cam sensor in, they are both male connectors? I could be mistaken, but who knows. Where on the engine is the cam sensor located, just so I can double check?

4.) Finally, in my hand again is another red wire. This is smaller in diameter than the other red wire that comes out of the harness on the drivers side. I am assuming the larger one goes to the starter (where I have connected it) and now I need to know where to connect this smaller one in my hand.

Ok, that should be it for now.
    Thanks in advance.

          2. The small red wire goes to the small post on the battery terminal. Is the big black one from the firewall a part of the engine loom? Or is it a part of the chassis? You may want to peek inside the insulator to see the actual color of the wire.

          4. You can either cut that wire and insulate, or use it to replace the battery cable that feeds into the fusebox.

Ok, I will check the color on #2, the huge black wire and get to you. It is not part of the engine loom. I beleive it is part of the chassis. So for the red one, also in pic 2, does it connect to the terminal block up on the firewall?

#3 you've got the Crank Sensor and Cam Sensor backwards. Flip them around and it will all make sense. Meaning your trying to plug the Cam sensor into the Crank Sensor harness connector. They are opposite of each other.

Cam sensor is by the vanos solenoid
