    An m50 problem or two...

    Firstly:

I took all of my coils off to replace spark plugs and paint my valve cover, and on cylinders 4,5,6 there was a bunch of rust and corrosion in the plug sleeve. The coils look like they're pretty much shot as well. I'd like to clean that shit out before I replace the spark plugs so i dont get any of it into the cylinders but i'm really not sure how to go about it.

Has anybody else run into this problem? Do you know the cause?

Also, I found a random power wire on my wiring harness and connected it. Now when the ignition is in the on position, or i try to turn it over, the white relay buzzes like a crazy fool. I'm not sure what that means.

When I try to turn it over, the car still doesnt start or even send fuel. Any chance this is related to the coils?

    Thanks

if there is no spark, an m50 will not supply power to the fuel pump, making diagnosis more difficult for us swappers without beaing able to read the DME unless the car can/has run.
On cleaning the plug area - put in your old plugs and blast with a little bit of engine degreaser and water, using mostly compressed air to clean out the area

Check to make sure that the DME is getting powered-up.
