half assed swap - need help fixing it

So I had a shop do my swap, it proved to be a bad decision since ive been fixing vaccum leaks and plugging a bunch of wires that just left hanging.

My temp gauge isnt reading any temp, i tested the temp sensor and it seems to work. Then I decided to look at the connection from the engine to the body. Seems like there might be misplaced pins and one missing. Can anyone tell me if this is right:

    Thanks

They don't all have ALL pins...you need to post what build year is your car/ what harness you are using/what engine.

Build date for the car is 12/87, engine is OBDI M52B28

Also, what you've posted is pretty much meaningless. You're going to have to peel back the covering on the engine harness side and start comparing wiring colors with the charts.

missing pin in the adapter is for the abs 12v+
your temp gauge prob is because the shop used the e36 sensor instead of the e30
looking for a e30m50 swap harness adapter pm me $150 shipped

Exactly. The car needs the single pin E30 brown top temp sensor, not the two pin E36 one.

No reading at all with the e36 one... The e30 one is necessary.

Thanks guys, that fixed the gauge problem. Now i just need to find a charcoal canister to remove the CEL.

The evap solenoid is separate from the charcoal canister. You can just plug it in to clear the cel temporarily.

Probably dont have it, where would it be located? The shop left some vaccum lines unplugged and i didnt see anything that it could plug into but i might have missed it. I have the TB vaccum line plugged with a bolt and clamp right now.

It's probably still located in the E36 donor car. :p

IIRC, the charcoal canister line (use the stock E30 canister) plugs into the throttle body. So, if you've got that hose nub on the bottom plugged, you know where to go with the line.
