    M50 swap then s52 swap in e30 ???

I have an s52 in a 97 M3 I need to get running. I have an s52 and m50 intake manifold. I will be putting this engine in an E30. I want to make sure the engine still rinds before i pull it. The kid I bought it from took it half way apart and gave up.

What is my best route? Put back together as original s52 intake, or convert to m50 manifold?

It also came with the turner motorsports
    conversion kit. FYI.

    Thanks for the help

Put the m50 manifold on. Are you going to convert to obd 1 or stay with obd 2?

I'm going to convert to obd1 no question. It's just that I want to make sure the engine runs before I pull it. I bought it after the kid took off the s52 manifold and gave up working on it.

The problem I'm having Now is since I didn't take any of the manifold hoses etc... Off, I don't know where any of them go.

obd1 vs obd2 intake manifold isn't going to make the engine not run or run ;) bfc has a good guide with lots of picture on obd2 to obd1 conversion if you aren't sure what goes where...also realoem.com or bentley help too :)

Well at this point the car is going to stay OBD2 while it remains in the car. I have the option to use s52 intake manifold and put it all together that way and then once i pull it, convert everything to OBD1. My main goal at this point is to make sure the engine runs. OBD1 or OBD2 it doesnt matter. It woudl just be nice to get a head start on the OBD1 conversion.

Just put an OBD1 Valve cover on it
            Then OBD1 intake.

            Simple enough.

I understand that. I cant figure out where all the hoses/ICV/PCV/FPR go. All that noise.

It's not all that complicated really, have you looked at the obd2 to obd1 guide?
