    Which clutch slave?

I can't find it in my receipts. Which clutch slave do I need with a ZF? I lost one at the race school this past weekend and I need a new one ASAP. I am thinking one from an E36 325 is the one I need.

    TIA.

I usually use the slave that comes with the tranny (e36 m3).

Ok. I have an 01 M coupe and a 328. I guess I should check realoem as they probably all use the same clutch slave.

The M3 one appears to be 22.2mm, the 328 one is 20.64. Doesn't really matter it appears. Whatever my parts guy can find in stock is what I will use.

I thought the 328 has the same tranny as the 5-speed M3 (and therefore use the same slave.)

if you use a ltw flywheel w/ the zf then use a 325 slave (better pedal feel)

That's what I was thinking. Thanks.

+1 on this, I'm using the UUC stage II clutch/flywheel (8.5#) in my car and was instructed by UUC to use a 325 slave (factory PN ends in 045) or else the clutch pedal will be really soft (they're words; you can basically breathe on it to operate it).

I'm currently trying to get the air out of the clutch master as I was an idiot and blew out the old slave while swapping booster and completely drained the clutch master so I can't give any good feedback to confirm but I will once its available

Took the tranny out just in case. Good thing I did. The slave failure was a symptom. The root cause was a throwout bearing explosion. Doh.

Fwiw I'm running the stock clutch and tranny setup from a 98 m3. I ran the corresponding slave as well. Worked fine but the clutch would engage with the pedal released right off the floor. I switched to the e36 325 slave and it now engages at a normal pedal height. And the pedal is also stiffer now.

I'm using the Getrag 250 tranny with dual mass flywheel on my M50 swap, should I use the stock M20 slave cylinder or the E36 one?
                      Thx.
