No stripped the labels as I was going alone, I'll do it again as the head comes back from machine shop tomorrow and parts come in. I sent the M52 head out for a basic cleaning and pressure testing.
Happens, seller gave me 400 back so I was a little less perturbed.Leave a comment:

E36 and I tried the starter bit, won't be able to work on it for another 15 days or so.Leave a comment:

Imma guess you have the green/black and starter reversed, or maybe your starter is wired backwards internally.Leave a comment:

Swapped starter and still zilch. no clicking no nothing, just relays engaging. I have to be missing something obvious.
Oh well it has to wait till I return.Last edited by M-technik-3; 07-01-2010, 09:28 AM.Leave a comment:

Hold up, forget what I said about the starter immobilization switch, its connected to the EWSII and not the 30h terminal.
Be sure to still check the 30h terminal on the starter though.Leave a comment:

Just downloaded the ETM, looks like the Starter immobilization switch is connected directly to the EWSII module. The power windows get their power from the Body electronics control module (ZKE IV) which is connected to Terminal 30h on the starter.
Sounds like 2 separate wiring issues.Last edited by BenM; 07-01-2010, 07:53 AM.Leave a comment:
