    Standalone EMS + Vanos??

First off, I would like to say I'm new to the whole BMW scene, so forgive me for any ignorance I may have. I just picked myself up an m50 for a turbo build and already have sds standalone engine management. The motor in question happens to be vanos, and I hear it's oil pressure operated, but I do see a solenoid there as well. So I did some searching with no luck and I was just wondering how people set up vanos controllers if any. I did read that non-vanos setups were easier to turbo and I can imagine this is why. Thanks

im not experienced with this, but im possibly going to go aftermarket ECU on my M52.

I hear it can be controlled by simply by tapping into the line from the factory ECU, but that source isnt the greatest so take it with a grain of salt. Be interested to know the solution

Yeah I was thinking of maybe going with a hobbes switch or something similar. I don't know how hard it would be as far as tuning goes though.
