    Eisenmann E36 muffler on E30?

I've searched this forum and bimmerforums and I've read through the "Let's see your mufflers" thread but with no luck...has anyone installed the E36 Eisenmann muffler on an E30? I'm curious if the can will fit in the back.

    I'm referring to this one

I'd love to get an Eisenmann for my S52 swap, and was considering the E36 version instead of the E30 version (I'm guessing it has bigger pipes?)

I'm sure someone has instaled the e36 version. The e36 catback has a factory like fitment in the e30 location. I have just finished having my e30 eisenmann installed and I really like the way it sounds. I'm running a straight pipe into my eisenmann muffler. I'll probably have a resonator put in very soon because its going to be way too loud.

The tips are probably almost the same size. The pipes going into the back of the muffler is where they probably differ, as the ones on the e30 are smaller than I'd like.

Here's a video to give you an idea.

I have the stock e36 m3 exhaust on my car. I had to shorten the catback by 2" or so and cut the tips and reangle them. I would guess it would be similar when trying to fit any e36 catback.

I see no reason why it couldn't fit. I have the uuc system-u on my e30 (I hate it) but it fits

I installed a UUC system U on my previous e30 m3. It just needs to be fab'd a lil bit. take it to a good muffler shop and they can do it for u.. Here is a couple of pics..

              hope this helps..

I had a E36 Tubi on mine mated to obd2 mids that were shortened a bit, I now running a full E36 M3 stock OBD2 setup and it fits damn well IMO
