    m50 shift linkage swap question

got a 92 325 tranny for my e30/m50 swap. how will i mount the "back" of the shift linkage? the pics online show a different mounting bushing/piece. i plan to use the e36 linkage/shifter etc..

    thanks in advance

both times i used the e30 lever (uuc short actually) with the e36 carrier. the e36 carrier is just like the e30 one but it is a couple inches longer. front mounts via the pin (just like the e30) and the back slides into rubber grommet (just like the e30.) connecting rods are the same for e30/e36. the connecting might need to be bent if you have a harmonic balancer. its a little tricky to get it just right. sometimes it will rub the harmonic balancer in reverse......sometimes it will not go into first or reverese....just trial and error.
