    Shifter Assem. getrag 250

Went to bolt up the shifter assembly last night; the previous setup had a bolt through the chassis in the driveshaft tunnel. The shifter linkage from the e36 uses a rubber grommet piece (#4 in pic below along with pic from e36 for reference)

How did you guys install this? Use the shifter assembly from the e30 trans?

Also when I was connecting the throttle cable, the rubber piece that goes

So you have to connect #8 to the trans tunnel in the e30 to get the e36/250 shift linkage stuff to work?

My car did not have 25111220707 (number 8 in this link). I have an 84 eta, had some other mount. Ordered that part from pelicanparts, everything fit up great. I'm running the e36 trans brace.

As well you need the e30 center bearing mounted to the e36 driveshaft; and fitting the driveshaft in it had to be collapsed(where it moves on the splines) pretty much all the way.

I have a complete 92 that I am snatching the 250 trans from. Mines also going in an early model ('85 auto) eta. Just wanna make sure that I have all the parts on hand before I get into the swap.
