S50 starts but won't stay running

I can start the car time and time again and all it does it start and then die.

All my vacuum lines are good, no leaks. I'm stumped.

Dies immediately? No idle at all? What if you goose it?

Idles for a quick second, then dies.

Does it stay running if you give it some throttle?

No, the gas pedal is nonexistent as soon as it decides its done running.

Have you tried starting it with the icv disconnected? Is your idle gay when running?
If that makes sense.. Idk about mx/sx engines well, but that pointed to the problem on my m20.

Switched main relays, adjusted throttle cable, unplugged maf, unplugged tps.

Nothing helped. Although I think my spare main relay maybe be bad as well, if that's the problem.

Sounds like you aren't getting fuel. Start with easiest first those being fuses, fuel pump relay and main relay.

But it does it AGAIN and AGAIN, so why would my fuel pump only work at start up?

Maybe it can't build up/keep pressure and it lets you only fire up the engine and then it dies? Do you have a fuel pressure gauge?

                      Can it be a CPS?

If it was the CPS it wouldn't start no?

Try starting fluid See if it will run on that for 10 sec or so. If it does, then chase the fuel issues. See if can get a fuel pressure Gage Helped me!

Now it revs itself to 1500 and dies straight away.
