    91 318is with s50 swap cooling question

ok im having a complete brain fart... ive been told that i can take the s50 coolen res hose that normally would run to the passanger side for the E36 m3 coolent res, and cut the hose to length and hook it upto the 318is radiator.. well i did so and it wont fit.... the outer diameter of the coolent hose is equal to the outer diameter of the coolent res port...

what am i missing im feeling like a retard.

I never cut mine, just hooked it up and called it a day.

I just spliced the stock 318is hose with the s50 hose using a nylon barbed splice fitting. Works great.

guess i should go buy a 318is hose i never had it.... white325is how did you not cut your s50 coolent res hose it is designed to go to the passanger side on a m3... my 318 rad and res is on the driver side of the radiator so it had to be trimmed

I just used the hose that came with the motor.
If you hav an M20 hose laying around you can use that too. Its direct bolt on.
