    question.

Recently my car @ idle developed a vibration. Later this week shifting became harder and harder. Yesterday, my car doesn't even want to shift. The thing that's weird is this just happened abruptly. The slave is brand new (2 months old). I changed my Master Cylinder last week. Is it possible air finally found it's way after all this time? Also, when the car is off I can shift freely with no problems. As soon as I turn the car on and try to shift through the gears I get extreme resistance.

If my clutch is fucked what's the best way to remove and change? Pull the whole engine or separate?

    Thanks,

Your post reads sort of confusing- but why not bleed the clutch slave and brake master cylinders to make sure theres no air and go from there. To do the clutch itself you remove the exhaust, driveshaft, then transmission. There is no need to remove the entire engine.

The fact that you can shift it with the car off and have trouble with it on means the clutch isn't completely disengaging. Either by the hydraulic system or the mechanical linkage. If you bleed the clutch slave and the symptoms are still there means there is something mechanical wrong. Pressure plate problems are a frequent issue on BMWs. The bolts holding the pressure plate on could have backed out. The flywheel bolts could have backed out too. Or the pressure plate is toast. I'd bet the pressure plate bolts have backed out.
