    ready to turn the key

    I will be ready to start my engine this weekend on my m50 swap.I have double checked all the connections and grounds .Is thers a checlist that I should go through before I start the engine .I might not have the exauhst hooked up for the start up .,,wil it run with the o2 sensor plugged in but not in the pipe?

    There is a check list on here. Search and yea the engine will run without o2 just run rich. Good luck. Just swapped in s50 last weekend. Great feeling. Now just allllott of loose ends now

      Might as well unplug the O2 so it goes into open loop.

      Pull the fuel pump relay and crank it in 5 second intervals a couple times to build oil pressure.

      Check your fuel lines, check your fluids and you should be good to go afer that.

      Once it's running grab a flashlight, look for leaks or smoke. And listen to weird noises. If it doesn't blow up in the first 20 seconds, you're good.

        Don't get too excited and leave it running in first gear and try to get out of the car without putting it in neutral, garage doors go down like crazy doing that.

            NAH, just start it, get in ,and drive ....lol
