    swappin m50 auto into 1986 eta auto, anyone done this?

    My uncle is planning on doing a m50+auto tranny in his auto eta. Has anyone heard of anyone doing a m50 auto swap? I know auto isn't the best way to go, but he likes them for a daily use.

          I've never heard of it but I doubt it would be hard. BTW did you get any info on those stud kits? When we meet up I'll bring my 24v e30 if you wanna look at it.

              why would you want an auto tranny. its less fun. unless you are using turbo it holds the boost high when shifting ;)

                  It's for his uncle so possibility that maybe he doesn't want to shift anymore. I was debating doing this exact same thing only into a convertible for my soon to be ex wife.

                      lol id do the same thing. my e34 m50 is auto its really boring to drive but the ladies like it ;)

                          im doing the same thing. (only because i cant afford the 5 speed) but im not sure how to wire it :( 2 x20 plugs and nobody know what to wire the trans plug to the e30s trans plug (matching wires)

                              do you know anything about the wireing interface for the trans connector? I need this info as well!
