    M50 Not idling

I know its an e36, but you guys know a lot about these engines. It is a 1993 with 88,000 miles. It has been sitting for about a year.

What happens is the car wont idle on its own. It revs up good and runs nice. However, it will die if I let my foot off the gas. I unplugged the TPS and started it up. It didnt kill, but it bounces up and down.

I really dont want to buy all kinds of parts and waste money on things I dont need. Please help! Thanks!

this car also has a idle control valve like e30's do. which could be casuing the issue. or you could have a vacuum leak somewere. if its been sitting long enough bad fuel would cause an issue to.

on a side note i am still intrested in having you paint/body work on my car. sent you a couple pm's on comming over and checking it out but i have yet to here anything back

He said it ran perfect before it was parked. Hard to say really. Ill try cleaning the ICV and looking for vaccum leaks.

o boy, never take the PO advice. if you end up needing some help let me know. check the icv, air boot. you know the main things.

also cant wait to get my car painted. trying to hurry up and get my e34 head gasket done so i will have a car to drive while you have my e30. plan to go just stock respray with the bumper trim painted to match the car and the DB bumpers painted black.

Do you know anyone that has a lower front valence for sale? looks like mine was in a little accident before i got it so i figured id swap that out for a good one before paint
