Is this win for my E30?

Anything else besides the cool harness from ericj + all the swap accessories from the foreign cars to swap into my brick?

Hows the OBDI/II stuff work? and which is this?

Not bad. If you want to go OBDII that is. You will still need the e34 pan and pickup, the wiring harness adapter, e36 engine mount arms, etc. It is a good start, and a pretty complete package.

Also, that is all OBDII, you can have the chip swapped in the DME to remove the second O2 sensors and the air pump and EWS.

I'd suggest you search, there is a thread titled "OBDII wiriing KarmaSutra" you should read. There is no real physical difference to the swap. I'd suggest you get in contact with TRM, they have a chip you'll want, and might have more specific info.

Uh, no chips for OBDII, you need to send the ECU off to be reprogrammed. Its better to convert the engine to OBDI, especially in california if you want to be legal with the swap. Here is a list of things you need. Its best to just find a donner e34 m50 engine and pillage it for all your needs.

                - OBD I e36/e34 Wiring Harness
                - OBD I 413 Red Label ECU/DME
                - OBD I Crank Sensor
                - OBD I Cam Sensor
                - OBD I Knock Sensors (2)
                - OBD I Intake Manifold
                - OBD I Oxygen Sensor
                - OBD I AIT sensor
                - OBD I HFM
                - OBD I Coolant temp sensor
                - OBD I Main engine coolant hose (spider hose.)
                - OBD I Throttle Body
                - OBD I valve cover with matching coils.(6)
                - OBD I Fuel Rail

OBD1 vanos solinoid or buy the pigtail extension for the obd2 unit
OBD1 exhaust manifolds (required by CARB)
e30 Temp gauge sensor mounted in a manifold or drilled into the head
You need to modify the bracket that holds all this wiring to the block
figure out what to do with your PCV

^ You fucking tard. It is ILLEGAL to convert a 1998 s52 OBDII to run OBDI if you are going to ref the car the legit way. YOU could LIE and say it is an m50 or s50. But that would be ILLEGAL.

And, I suggested TRM, because they would have the more specific information he would need. Chip, reburn, whatev.

                    California Vehicle Code?

From what I understand it's illegal to swap older engine into newer car ie. 96 s52 into 98 m3. I had a ref'd 95 M3 that I swapped a long block s52 into it, converted to OBD-I...in cali.

Welp I'm stoked and I think I'm staying OBDII with OBDI headers and I'll have the TRM guys delete my last 2 o2 sensors / air pump

I am getting all required items in my swap $$$

                      thanks for the leads Farb

That post would be dope if I was going to convert to OBDI Uber, thanks for the try and who knows maybe I'll end up going that route.

You my friend are the tard for saying something like replace the chip not once but twice in reference to OBDII. I never commented on the legality of changing the engine over, i only commented on whats easier for to obtain CARB legality.

You cant do this, anything emissions related from cat up must be OEM or CARB cert. to the engine that you claim it is including midpipes, headers, and charcoal canister. It also requires you to have either the stock intake or a CARB cert one.

You cant swap OBDI into OBDII cars but OBDI cars can get either type of engine. Although they are more stringent on OBDII engines which is why i suggested for the OP to go ODBI, farb is just a douche nozzle.
