S52 as you'll find lower mileage engines EASIER, plus more displacement is ALWAYS better. Converting to OBD1 is not very complicated, seriously this is pretty easy stuff.

Out of the box the s50 is hotter up top. Likes to rev. But if you're going to mod them obd I etc. the s52 will end up creating more hp/tq.
Get an s50 with all the OBD I junk and when that blows up just swap in the s52 long block.Comment

i'll tell you why, because if you get all the electronics that came with the car, its cheaper by a good amount. Besides, all the gains you get out of an obd1 swap really is the intake manifold WHICH you can still do and keep the OBD2 setup (my car for example)Originally posted by mazur View Post
