Flywheel and clutch combinations that work for M/S50´s

My friend is about to do a M50 swap and want´s to use a lighter flywheel,

    I already know that a E21 323i flywheel works for a M50 + E30 325ix trans combination.

What combinations are there that work and the flywheel doesn´t weigh a ton.
    and using a M50 transmission
    E21 323i flywheel only weighs 6.5kgs or about 12.5lbs.

    Lightened e30 325i single mass flywheel (approx. 12lbs) with e30 325i clutch/pressure plate and e30 325i starter with Getrag 260.

how much material needs to get shaved off? Can a shop screw this up? the bmw shops around here either A. charge too much, or B. dont know how to do it right

so i'm going to take it to a muscle car shop.

it will be going in an m50 swap 325is.

I'm using a JBRacing aluminium flywheel, E34 M5 clutch, and E36 m3 pressure plate with a 95 m3 gearbox. That clutch disc is from a 300+hp car, so it should have no problem handling the power from a US spec S50 motor

If you look at the back side of an e30 single mass flywheel, you will see about a half inch of material just sticking out the back. I recommend just having that whole back section machined off.

I have the euro 323i fly and e30 m3 clutch assembly in mine, and it revs out hella fast, Jon and Rob (THR) can attest to this, and I LOVE it.
