    r3v community help pls

After one ride in an e30 s50 I immediately sold my integra and bought 91 318is. Immediately I starting eating ramen noodles nightly and saved for months and also bought the engine and tranny from a 98 m3. I am a total newbie in the BMW world and would appreciate the help. These are my questions.
    1. What are the year and model of the headers i need to make it obd1?
    2. What brake master cylinder fits the 325ix brake booster i have?
    3. What is the year and model ecu i need?
    4. Is there anyway to use 98 m3 driveshaft in my e30?
    Thanks r3v

You can use any of the e36 6-cyl exhaust manifolds. The cast OBD1 ('95 and older) manifolds are a direct bolt on. Even the OBD2 ('96+) manifolds will work. They are lighter and look better. You need to weld shut the emissions ports though.

I'd assume you would use the IX master with the IX booster. I haven't used the IX booster setup though, so double check.

It needs to be an OBD1 ECU. Most commonly used ECUs are the 413 and 506 ECU.

Yes, as long as the flange that bolts to the diff is a 4-bolt flange and you are using the ZF tranny that came with your motor.

You use the Ix master cylinder with a remote brake fluid reservoir.

ix or e32 booster with matching mc as the spacing on the reg e30 booster for the mc is different.

Thanks for the input guys! This forum rocks! Btw I will post before and after pics of this project the closer this project comes to completion. I'm sure I can run across the exhaust manifold and ecu somewhere. I'm not having much luck with the brake master cylinder as usually all buyers buy it complete. My ignorance. Btw my e30 driveshft has 4 bolts and the m3 is 6 bolts. I might have to get one specially made, translation, more ramen noodles. Thanks again.

Ah, you must have the 1995 E36 M3 driveshaft.

You probably do not have to get one specially made. Sell yours and buy a 96-99 M3 driveshaft, or an E36 328i driveshaft.

I have used an E21 and an IX. I prefer using an E21 with threading the fork to 12x1.5 and retreading the shaft to the same. Significantly easier and you can use the larger MC from the 7 series.

Thanks i will use the e34 mc and res, much easier to find.
As for the driveshaft, I will try and track down the e36 328i as suggested.
If you can weld the emission ports closed on e36 exhaust manifolds, why cant I do the same with the ones on the engine?
