Okay I have several questions right now I have a 92 non vanos m50 mounted to a 242 euro close ratio getrag which is off the 320i. The problem is that transmission sits at a 23 degree angle while my motor sits at 30 degrees. therefore the tranny is crooked causing the shifts not to be clean and screwing up the shift linkage. Also the drivelne was custom made but still too long causing me to have to rebuild the differential now. If I buy the m50 tranny and custom make my driveline will I later be able to just do a straight swap having the m50 tranny directly fit into the s50 motor. Basically I'm asking if they use the same transmission.
Also what else do I need except for an ecu and the motor to do a swap from the m50 to the s50. Shouldn't everything else just be the same?
